Energy Basics

When we talk about climate change and sustainability, we hear a lot about energy. But many people don't have a clear understanding of what energy is, what the units of measurement mean, or how energy works in practice. If we're going to build or refurbish our own homes so that they use less energy (or if we want to be empowered clients of architects, engineers and builders) we need to have a solid understanding of the concepts and terms.
